Convention Update from Youth Co-Chair (04.18.2014)Dear Convention Registrants,
With only months remaining until our highly anticipated 2014 KCCNA Convention in Chicago, I'd like to provide a brief update regarding the convention planning for youth activities. Together with the KCYLNA board, led by President Abey Thachet, along with local Chicago youth representatives, our goal is to create an unforgettable convention experience for our young registrants. Following two tremendously successful events in 2013, the KCYLNA Youth Convention in Houston and the KCYLNA Youth Summit in Detroit, our vision is to take this summer's convention to the next level. Our greatest priority is the security of our young registrants and we believe that providing a myriad of entertaining events throughout the weekend will help ensure that. Listed below is a sneak preview of some of the activities and programs that are being organized.
The KCCNA and the 2014 Convention Committee are taking the youth convention experience very seriously. The youth have been provided the largest convention budget to date, but more important, the absolute trust and support from our association. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Sub Committees guarantee a top-notch convention (04/06/2014)
Meeting of convention sub-committees of Chicago held on April 6th at Community Center appreciated all the registrants from around the world for registering for the 2014 KCCNA Convention in Chicago which set new records in the categories of total number of early bird registrations, total number registrations from a hosting unit and final total number of registrations in the history of KCCNA Conventions. The high quality work of various committees was recognized during the meeting in which the future activities of divers committees were unfolded in preparation for a top-notch convention for all the attendees. Convention Registration crosses 1000 mark (03.20.2014)Dear Knanaya Community members,
It is with immense pleasure that we the KCCNA Convention Registration Committee present to you the wonderful news that when Mr. Sanchu Chacko Puthenpurayil from New York completed his registration procedure 2014 KCCNA Convention at Chicago has just now crossed 1000 registration mark tonight 03/20/2014 at 22.16.57 ( E S T). We would also like to bring to your attention that among these 1000 registrations, more than 925 are family registration which speaks about the amount of support expressed by Knanaya families from all across North America and Canada. The National Registration was kicked off on October 26th, 2013 and the On-Line registration started on November 1st, 2013. Some of the milestones so far was that the first 100 registration was achieved within the first 3 days, we welcomed the new year of 2014 with 500 registration and we closed off the 1099.00 early bird deal on January 15th, 2014 at a record breaking 807 registration. That trend seems to continue on as we now are beyond 1000 mark. As you all might be aware that we have recently introduced a new registration package oriented towards making it easier for unmarried youths (21 to 35) of our community and we are experiencing a very positive move in that direction too. With only days remaining until March 31st, for this long registration journey to come to a close, we welcome with open arms everyone who has not yet registered. Let’s all look forward to spending the convention days together amongst 5000 or more Knanayites. With Gratitude, KCCNA Convention Registration Committee Jojo Analil - Registration Committee Chairman Teddy Muzhayanmakkil Sanish Arackaparambil Saji Marangattil Maggi Pattakandathiil Lukose Thathamkinattukarayil Jose Kongapuzhakalayil

McCormick is mesmeric!
This was the feeling felt by everyone who made a tour of McCormick Place, venue of 2014 KCCNA Convention, on October 6, 2013. News about the trip to see the opulent venue of the next convention had stirred for the last few days the excitement of KCS members who hurried into buses after church service to see the convention center where they will be welcoming their families and friends from other states next year. Throughout the tour, everyone was spellbound by the mammoth size and elegance of McCormick Place.
KCS President, George Thottapuram, welcomed members at Convention center before the tour began. Convention Chairman, Dr. Mathew Joseph Thirunelliparambil, provided a brief outline about next year’s convention. General Convener, Cyriac Koovakattil, led the tour and Convener, Sunny Mundaplackal, urged members to make KCCNA convention registration kick off during Knannaya Night on October 26th a huge success.
Chicago KCS thanks all the members who came in for the tour. There is no doubt that the wholehearted support of those on tour will boost the interests of others leading to the greatest Convention hitherto unseen in the history of KCCNA!

As you already know, Chicago is in the process of bidding to host the 11th KCCNA convention. We have amassed various details of McCormick Place, our proposed convention center, and will be making a full-fledged presentation of these details for your consideration during the coming weekend. As many of you might already know, McCormick Place, which is along beautiful Lake Michigan, is North America's largest convention facility and attract more than three million people annually. McCormick Place was the location to President Obama's victory speech. It was also the location for 2012 NATO summit. Let's make ourselves proud to say that we, Knanaya Community, held a convention in a place where world class summits are common occurrences. PLEASE support our bid to host the 2014 KCCNA Convention.
We would like to invite you all for a SOCIAL GATHERING with fun and entertainment on March 1st (Friday) evening at Chicago community center before we prepare ourselves before selecting next KCCNA leadership, our next convention location and showcasing our strength and unity during a rally which is the beginning of a series of actions in store until we reach the desired outcome
The concerted effort of North American Knanaya community under the able leadership of Dr. Sheins Akasala was the principal force that transformed our misery and despair into hope and progress. We have to continue to maintain the same vigor and vitality to sustain this progress. We welcome you all to Chicago to become a part of the historic rally in front of Syro Malabar Headquarters on March 3, 2013.
