Joint meeting of KCS Friday Group of Goldies and KCS Senior Citizen Forum - 04/25/2014 (Friday)
Dear All,
A joint meeting of two newly formed KCS subsidiary units, KCS Friday Group of Goldies and KCS Senior Citizen Forum, was held yesterday at Community Center. Members from these two units mingled together and shared their memories during this memorable gathering. It was one of the historical evenings in the history of KCS because KCS, for the first time in its history, has been blessed with having a platform for gatherings for two group of members whom KCS keeps in high regard. Sister Nirmala from Visitation Congregation, Kottayam, was the chief guest.
Chicago extends its gratitude to Coordinators of Friday Group of Goldies, Philip Elakkattu, Jose Naduparambil, John Elakkattu and Mathew Padinjarel and Coordinators of KCS Senior Citizen Forum, Jacob Pullapallil and Jacob Mannarkattil for organizing the event.

Senior Citizen Cookout - Oct 19th, 2013
![Picture](/uploads/6/1/2/4/6124176/_6638957.jpg)
Community Center was filled with the aroma of our traditional food, PIDDY and KOZHY and other delicious food items during a day long Cookout sponsored by senior citizen forum to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Chicago KCS, the seed of which was planted thirty years ago on November 27, 1983 at 2:00 pm at St Benedict Church, Chicago and has grown into a fruitful tree under the loving and gentle care of our predecessors to much delight and comfort of current members! The event started around 10.00 AM, continued past the palatable lunch and ended with a cake cutting ceremony and the tasty FEAST around 8.00 PM. The joy of communal experience was at the highest point when our Ammachies and Achayanmars prepared the food themselves, ate together and sang our traditional songs reminiscent of our gatherings of bygone days.
The entire event was coordinated by Senior Citizen Forum Coordinators, Jacob Pullapally and Jacob Mannarkattil and director of this sub-unit, Tomy Kannala. Another celebration of the anniversary of KCS will be held during Knanaya Night on coming Saturday. Thanks again for your continual support
